1. What trope do you wish authors would run far, far away from?
[C] I’m open to almost everything, though I’m wary of the whole insta-love, fairy-tale romances. Some authors are able to make it work and I’ve read some amazing ones, but half the time, it ends up being an unbelievable romance.
[J] There isn’t really anything that I think authors should stay away from. I’ve found that as long as the author has a good story, any idea can work. I’ve even enjoyed some darker romances because the author was able to craft the story in such a way that was tasteful, clever and spell-binding.
2. The one book you’ll re-read over and over and over:
[C] Damn…This is hard…There are quite a number of books that I will re-read over and over and over…I’ll go with Cara Dee’s Look But Don’t Touch. It’s a kink book, dd/lg, and the sexy factor is off the charts! That book pushes all the right buttons for me. So far, I’ve read it 4 times now.
[J] I’m so indecisive and hate choosing but I think I’ll go with a tie between The Reasonable Doubt series by Whitney Gracia Williams and The Jared Effect by Jake Malden. Both are hot and fantastic books!
3. If you could rewrite one book to change one part of it, which book would you choose and what would you change?
[C] Definitely Shayne McClendon’s Yes To Everything. I would change the ending of the character Rex Black, though that would affect how the entire book play out, because he is my top favourite book boyfriend ever and I love him to pieces ❤ I won’t spoil the book, you’ll need to feel it for yourself but be prepared for a roller-coaster of emotions. Believe me, I cried for an hour and then some in between reading. It’s hella amazing!
[J] Interesting question… I would have to say Penumbra by Logan Patricks. And the part would be where Lincoln is taken hostage because he is so adorable and hot. Plus, there is so much suspense in the books I just want to protect Lincoln from that! 😀 lol.
4. Do you have a favorite place to read?
[C] Currently, my favourite place to read is in my bed. I’m planning on getting a sofa in my room and create my own little reading nook though.
[J] I read just about everywhere, except outside. But my usual place is in the living room while watching T.V. I multi-task 😉
5. Tell us a little bit about why you started book blogging:
[C] I wanted to have a place where I can talk about the books and share my love for books. None of my friends have similar reading tastes with me and that can get a little lonely. Most of the time, they look at me like I’m crazy when I rave about my favourite books. I’m proud of my blog, it’s kinda like my baby.
[J] It sort of just happened. I follow a lot of blogs, which included Gwyneiira’s Book Blog. Then one day, Cheryl was asking for some help with the blog. I was inexperienced and asked what that would involve. Then one thing led to another and she accepted me with open arms and has been incredibly patient. Blogging is great because it is a wonderful way to promote indie authors and introduce other people to the wonders of books.
6. What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
[C] I can’t live without my phone. All of my ebooks are on my phone, without it, I am doomed.
[J] The internet. I was cut off for like half an hour and it felt like someone cut my arm off! lol 😉
7. And finally a quick round of pick one:
Chocolate or Vanilla: [J] Vanilla
Paperback or Ebook: [C] Paperbacks for sure, but ebooks only because shipping rates are horrendous
