To the outside world, Mav Ryan is living the dream. With a high profile and successful FMX career, it’s something Mav knows a million guys would kill to have. But not him. He yearns for something different, something more.
Aubrey James has had enough of bad boys to last a lifetime. When her brother, Josh, brings home the heavily tattooed definition of a bad boy, Mav, she wants nothing to do with him. It’s not until a shadow from Aubrey’s past threatens her future, that to her surprise, Mav steps in.
But can he fight her demons as well as his own? Or will Mav realise that sometimes breaking away can lead to finding your home?

by Megan Lowe

I knew there was something about these Ryan boys when Reed first started talking to me. I had intended Breaking the Cycle to be a standalone, the only book in a series, although it can’t really be called a series then can it? Then, I had an idea for No Place to Hide and that’s when Rocking Racers really took off. All of a sudden I had five other Ryans talking at me, clamouring for me to tell their story.
Mav, the subject of Breaking Away, was the loudest, the most persistent. I wrote his book the fastest of any book I’ve written. Okay, so that’s only four, but just go with me here! Mav just kept talking and talking. For the one I dubbed the “mysterious” Ryan, I thought that was impressive. Mav surprised me at every turn, but what was most surprising was how he totally and utterly captured my heart. I hope he has similarly captured yours.
I never gave much thought to who Mav was in BTC. He had such a small part there was no need. But in No Place, that’s where he really came out of his shell. I had no idea about any of it! I didn’t plan it that way, I had no thought of things turning out like they did, it was all what Mav wanted. I know I sound a little crazy, but that’s how it happened.
So what is it about Mav that stole my heart?
The fact that he feels like he has to shoulder all this responsibility for his family, his sense of loyalty to them, the wy he’d do almost anything to avoid disappointing them. In that way, I guess he’s a lot like me. But with Mav, he wants to take the whole world on his shoulders and he tries to do that. He’s a gentle soul in the midst of a very testosterone dominated family. I think he thinks that makes him weak, but I beg to differ. What Mav did (and I’m not going into that here, if you want to find out, you’ll have to read his story!) takes a tremendous amount of courage and I think that, more than anything shows how incredibly strong he is.
I love writing strong characters but who also have their flaws, their doubts. Mav is no exception but because his doubts are so heavy on his mind I think it makes him so much more human, more lovable.
Mav’s not perfect, in fact, there might be times when you want to smack him over the head, but none of us are.
I absolutely loved writing Mav’s story, and there is more to come for him and Aubrey, as well as the rest of the Ryans.
I hope you enjoy Breaking Away and if you do, please consider leaving a review!

Angela Waters juggles two high-stress jobs: nurse and earthbound angel. On a rare girls’ night out, she intervenes and saves the life of Mason Kearney, a stripper with southern charm and a secret. It’s a move that will force her to contemplate why in all the heavens she puts up with the injustice of being an angel, which leads to a bombshell that challenges everything she’s ever known.

In the midst of falling for the Alabama boy, she’s in for the fight of her life when a demon, hell-bent on taking her wings, shows up at the most inopportune times.

With a family of angels rallying behind her, she’s sent on a mission to learn everything about them, herself, and evil, to save all the earthbounds from an untimely demise.

Can Angela survive with her heart and her wings intact?

My Favorite Scene to Write in Virtue and Honor
by Randi Perrin

There are a lot of really good scenes in Virtue and Honor, so it’s hard to pin down just one.The prologue was written to be jarring to anyone who was vested in the series, and I relished in how much I was going to shake up everyone’s world. I was literally doing the evil cackle as I wrote that.

The opening scene at the strip club, that one was fun as well. The first sex scene in this one took several tries to get right, but I loved how it turned out. It’s sappy and romantic, which is generally not my style, but for these two, it was so perfect.

I also had so much fun writing interactions between Mason and Angela’s dad. Next to Cheryl, he’s the most sarcastic character in the bunch, and so very much fun to write.

However, if I’m forced to choose, and it looks like I am, my favorite scene is the one in the garage when Angela is running late and has to pick up her work badge from Mason.

Why?

It actually happened. It didn’t involve a vintage Trans Am, rather my Mazda 3, and a pack of hot dogs instead of a work badge.

My friend apologized all over herself, as she knows how I am about my car, but I was laughing so damn hard I was crying. She looked at me and said, “that has to go in your next book.”

My response: “Challenge accepted.”

It took a couple tried to get it right, as my first instinct was to have it happen with a different character. With a pack of hot dogs. However, as writing is a whole lot of trial and error, that didn’t feel right, so I scrapped it and tried again with different circumstances. Finally, success.

Lesson learned: never throw something to someone in a running car in the rain.

Bet You Didn’t Know This About The Australian Outback!
by Sidney Valentine
I’m a huge research buff and learned a great deal about the
Aussie outback when I wrote my novel, Taming A Jackaroo. The story is based in
rural Queensland in a very remote town called, Boulia. This place is renowned for
the mysterious Min Min light. It is said to be a small glowing orb that follows
you in the outback.
So today, I’m sharing some amazing details I discovered
about this phenomenon in Boulia, Australia.
The Min Min
light is named after the small settlement of Min Min, located in outback
Queensland close to Boulia – an Aussie town also renowned for camel racing and
on last count (2011) had a population of only 230 residents.
Numerous
accounts from 1838 have described a light that follows travelers. They are said
to be fuzzy, disc-shaped lights that are often white or change colour from
white, red and green. Some have been described as dim, while others were bright
enough to cast shadows on objects nearby. One account even described Min Min
lights keeping up with a moving car!
Aboriginal
myths that pre-date European settlement have also described these lights.
According to some Aboriginal Australians, these sightings of Min Min lights
have increased due to the growing presence of Europeans in the outback. Many
believe that the lights are the spirits of their ancestors who cannot rest
because they were murdered by European settlers. According to folklore, if a
person chases the light and manages to catch it they will never be seen again.
There are a
number of theories to explain the Min Min light phenomenon. Bioluminescence;
optical illusion and gas have all been put forward to explain the lights. Yet
there is still no clear explanation for their existence.
Glowing
orbs have also been described in other countries, such as the will-o’-the-wisp
ghost lights found in Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales. In Mexico, there are
glowing orbs known as brujas, believed to the souls witches.
Did you
know?
 Thirty-six
sightings had occurred between 1950 and 1959.

He didn’t ascend the two steps up to the raised floor I was on, so we were now more or less of similar height. It was a little disconcerting he was still taller, even at my advantage.
“Did you just tattletale like a little bitch?”
“He was touching your ass.”
“You–”
“And if you want me to be your bitch, I can do that.” The grin that spread across his handsome face showcased a sexy line of white teeth. He had a very small slit in his lip, as if he suffered from dry lips. Without thought, I leaned forward and sucked his bottom lip into my mouth. He tasted like beer and delicious man. I knew I was risking the giant’s bollocks kissing him in front of my brothers, but I couldn’t stand more time passing without having a little taste.
I pulled away, slowly releasing his lip with a nip of my teeth. He didn’t make any move to touch me, or kiss me back. He simply stared at me with shining eyes and a hot smirk.
“Dance with me.” It wasn’t a question; I wanted to feel his body against mine.
“Can I touch your ass?”
I didn’t answer; I simply sauntered back onto the dance floor. I glanced over my shoulder and offered him a coy smile. Acis had scared the poor young guy away.
I started the slow sway of my hips, keeping my eyes pinned to my avid admirer. His eyes tracked my movements. The sway of my hips, the bend of my knee, the curve of my waist. Slowly, he walked toward me with the prowl of a dangerous animal ready to capture his prey. I expected him to wrap his arm around my body and pull me against him, but instead, he lifted his hand and hooked his finger under my chin and ran his thumb over my bottom lip.
“You’re a dangerous woman, pixie-girl.”
I didn’t speak; I simply stared into his eyes and wrapped my lips around his thumb and sucked it into my mouth, licking the pad before slowly releasing it. His eyes flared and his extremely long lashes battered against his cheeks like butterflies trying to escape.  Finally, his thick arm banded around my back and lifted me up against him, my feet dangled near his shins. There was no finesse in the way I crashed against him—as I said, I was clumsy. But the heat of his skin burned against me, igniting a desperate need inside me. I pressed my hands against his chest and curled my fingers into the fabric, anchoring myself to him as he pressed his hips against mine and started a slow sensuous rocking. With each wave of movement, my stomach tightened as his hips and hard-on pressed perfectly against me. I parted my legs slightly, allowing him to slide his thigh between my legs. His hand caressed my waist as it slid down my side, over the small of my back, to cup my arse. He pressed against me, bringing me tightly against his hardness. I closed my eyes and a small moan escaped me as electric pulses throbbed through me.
The scratch of stubble against my cheek and the hot warmth of his breath made me shiver violently.
“I want to feel, touch, and taste your skin, Pix,” he whispered against my ear, the seductive baritone of his voice shattering any protests I may have had. Which I didn’t. I tightened my fist in his shirt, certain I was nipping his flesh.
“I want you to watch as my tongue licks every inch of this perfect body. Starting with your tight nipples.” He took my earlobe into his mouth and nipped with his teeth. I melted against him. The only support for my weakened body was my grip on his shirt and his hands on my arse.
“I—” I said breathlessly as he licked a warm path down my neck to cover my throbbing pulse with his mouth, sucking hard against my heated flesh.
“Either way, babe, I need you naked.”

Hi! What to say about myself…I don’t really have anything interesting to offer other than I love to read, and create stories for others to enjoy. I’ve always been told I have a vivid imagination, I just lacked the confidence to pursue putting it onto the written page. But finally I embarked on making a single dream come true.
I love to read, and write. I only read romance, any genre really, but it has to have a beautiful romance. I also demand a HEA, even if it takes two or three books to get there. Reality is too broken and jaded without having to live through the trauma and angst in a book for it to end unhappily.
